RUTHERFORD - Perseverance paid off in a big way for St. Mary on Saturday. The Gaels refused to lose their composure even when trailing more than halfway through the fourth quarter.

Led by junior running back Jonathan Diaz, the Gaels scored two touchdowns in the final five minutes to rally for a thrilling back- and-forth 33-27 victory over New Milford in an NJIC crossover game at Tamblyn Field.
