Q. I have a 2-year-old Labrador retriever. On our morning walks he tries to eat the bark off fallen branches. He also goes after grass, leaves, rocks or anything else he can get his mouth on. I'm concerned that he may choke on the larger objects. Also, can some of the plants be harmful or poisonous?

Sometimes this behavior indicates that the dog may be in need of a multivitamin. Check with your vet.
