Thanks to a new book, "The Revolutionary War in Bergen County: The Times That Tried Men's Souls," we can now share one of its better jokes: that Gen. George Washington's name would be forever linked to that of Maj. Gen. Charles Lee, whose namesake town Fort Lee is the western entrance to the George Washington Bridge.
