TIPTON, Iowa - Sen. John Kerry on Tuesday called on Vice President Dick Cheney to admit to "a long list of mistakes" in the administration's handling of postwar Iraq because, he said, President Bush has been unable or unwilling to do so.

"Folks, for weeks I've been asking the president of the United States to level with the American people and to be candid about the situation in Iraq," Kerry said in a news conference, with cornfields, cattle and barns behind him. "Maybe he's simply unwilling to face the truth or to share it with the American people."
