Joe Jonas Goes Solo

Summary

Joe Jonas, the middle sibling of Wyckoff's multiplatinum-selling Jonas Brothers, is striking out on his own with his R&B and dance- music album "Fast Life," in stores Tuesday. The cool-edgy brother closes his recent national tour with British pop star Jay Sean tonight at the Best Buy Theater.

TELL ME MORE: Kevin, the oldest, is the married one. Nick, the youngest, is returning to Broadway early next year to star in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," and recently toured in South America with his band, Nick Jonas & The Administration. But the middle brother, Joe, is going through the biggest transformation right now. Shedding his Disney boy-band cocoon, Joe in his first solo effort created a thumping club record, including collaborations with hip-hop bad boy Chris Brown and Lil Wayne, who raps on the remix of his single "Just in Love." His co-headliner, Jay Sean, came up in the British-Indian underground music scene -- that pioneered mixing club music with traditional bhangra sounds -- and has since gone on to mainstream pop stardom. He'll be performing songs from his fourth album "Freeze Time."
