The former New Jersey Nets star, on trial for manslaughter in the Feb. 14, 2002, shooting death of limousine driver Costas "Gus" Christofi, won't be in court today when Superior Court Judge Edward M. Coleman rules on a motion to throw out eight counts against Williams. The defense has argued that the prosecution's failure to produce evidence of a 2003 disassembly of the gun by a Browning Arms Co. engineer is the result of prosecutorial misconduct that warrants dismissal.
