HARRINGTON PARK - Jack Nicholas Arbolino, a longtime borough resident who helped establish Advanced Placement tests as a way for high school students to earn college credit, died on Jan. 7. He was 85.

As an executive with the College Entrance Examination Board from 1958 to 1987, Mr. Arbolino introduced the specialized tests in thousands of high schools across the United States.
