WASHINGTON Johnson & Johnson of New Brunswick won an appeals court ruling that heart devices made by Medtronic Inc. and Boston Scientific Corp. infringed its patents.

The decade-old disputes center on coronary stents, tiny mesh tubes that prop open arteries after they have been cleared of plaque. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington on Monday upheld two jury verdicts won by Johnson & Johnson.
