J&J Cutting 150 Sales Jobs in N.J.

NEW BRUNSWICK Health-care company Johnson & Johnson says it's eliminating about 400 sales jobs in the United States, including about 150 in New Jersey, by year's end. Drug safety problems are being blamed.

The New Brunswick-based company is consolidating marketing and sales departments at its biotechnology businesses. The company notified employees Tuesday. The company says the layoffs are in response to falling sales of Procrit a type of anemia drug that stimulates formation of red blood cells.
