Summary
The 21st Winter Olympics started last week in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It started with the opening ceremonies on Feb. 12 and runs through the end of the month on Feb. 28. Sports such as luge, the bobsled run, and the biathlon are a major part of the competition as are skiing, men's and women's ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating and curling, among other events.
Some of the skiing events are held in the resort town of Whistler, British Columbia; Richmond, West Vancouver and at the University Endowment Lands. Some of the early downhill skiing events were postponed because of a problem with snow-making at Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver.See the full content of this document
