BERGENFIELD -- A Bergenfield politician indicted on forgery charges has been suspended without pay from her county job.

Former Councilwoman Elaine Rabbitt, indicted by a state grand jury last month as she closed out her term on Bergenfield's governing body, was suspended Jan. 12 from her job as an assistant in Bergen County's public works-engineering department, according to county officials.
