A former New Jersey environmental commissioner launched an independent run for governor Monday, saying Democrats and Republicans failed to contain spending even as the economy buckled.
"Governors, legislators, town councils and school boards give away pay increases, benefits, rebates, tax breaks and pension sweeteners as if they are free," candidate Chris Daggett said at a State House news conference.See the full content of this document
