TRENTON New standards that began Tuesday allow New Jersey home inspectors to be licensed with less experience than under previous guidelines.
The new rules allow inspectors to be licensed after as little as 40 hours in the field, the equivalent of about 13 home inspections, provided they also completed 140 hours of classroom training and passed a national exam.
