Give Mayor Joseph DiDonato and the West Milford Township Council credit. In an effort to stop a large developer from building a huge new town-house complex on environmentally sensitive land, they passed a resolution last week that calls on county, state and federal officials for help.
Defying a veiled threat from the developer, K. Hovnanian, that the company would explore all options if the resolution passed, the council voted unanimously for the measure, which says that the 280- unit Eagle Ridge development will deplete the township's water supply, adversely affect schools and place an unreasonable burden on the budget for municipal services.See the full content of this document
