It didn't take long for Lucas and Rebecca Franco to start raising funds when their family received an adoption agency's request that its clients help victims of the September school siege and shooting in Beslan, Russia.

The letter, sent in late October, was meant for Lucas and Rebecca's parents. But if the agency had been aware of the Wyckoff siblings' passion for good will, it might have addressed its plea directly to the pair, who were adopted from Russia a decade ago.
