ALBANY, N.Y. - The Giants' defense made only 14 interceptions in 2004, which tied for 22nd in the NFL. On the surface, that may sound like a negative statistic.

That is, until you look at the 2003 Giants, and discover that they had only 10 picks, tied for 30th. Still, it's obvious that more improvement is needed in this area.
