$107,736 Grant Will Train Firefighters for Floods

Summary


PATERSON -- The Paterson Fire Department was awarded a government grant of more than $100,000 for equipment and training in preparation for future severe floods.

The grant, issued by the Department of Homeland Security, would help purchase enough waterproof boots, wet/dry suits, helmets and locating strobe lights for 40 firefighters, as well as scores of other specific items.
