PRINCETON -- For a two-time State Group 1 indoor champion, Geoff Goidell wasn't overly enthusiastic after winning his second title Saturday at Jadwin Gym.

The Pascack Hills' junior repeated as the shot put champion with a throw of 50 feet 2 inches, more than 3 feet farther than the second-place finisher, but the first thing he wanted to talk about was the absence of his biggest rival.
