PASSAIC - Police arrested two suspects Saturday following a rash of gang activity that culminated in the killing of a young man Friday night, investigators said. Osvaldo Cardoso Diaz, 23, of Passaic was stabbed to death Friday near the corner of President Street and Hope Avenue, police said. Police arrested a 17-year-old Passaic boy on Saturday and charged him with the homicide. They said they were looking for several more suspects.

The boy was in police custody Saturday evening, and will be transferred to a county juvenile facility, said Capt. John Kanson.
