Games to Watch: Jags and Colts and Oh, My!

Summary

Jacksonville (8-5) at Indianapolis (7-6), 1 o'clock

These teams find themselves in unusual positions for this time of the season, as Jacksonville has won five of its last six games and can clinch its first AFC South title with a win. The Jaguars won the AFC Central twice before the NFL realigned into eight divisions in 2002. It also would mark Jacksonville's first season sweep over the Colts. Indianapolis is merely trying to stay afloat in the playoff race after a rare three-game losing streak that was snapped with a 30-28 win at Tennessee on Dec. 9. That was a Thursday, so the Colts have three extra days to prepare for this game. But they have lost two consecutive home games, to San Diego and Dallas. Jacksonville's Maurice Jones-Drew has six straight 100-yard rushing games and has played well against the Colts. In nine games against them, he is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and has scored 12 TDs. However, QB David Garrard tweaked a hamstring in practice Thursday and is listed as questionable. The Jaguars thus re-signed journeyman Todd Bouman on Friday. Meanwhile, Indianapolis QB Peyton Manning will make his 206th consecutive start.
