NEW YORK The smoke had not yet cleared from the fireworks celebrating the three-run homer Carlos Delgado had just sent into the right field bullpen when David Wright swung at an Aaron Small pitch, sending it through the smoke.

The ball passed out of the fog, over the Yankees' bullpen in left field and kept sailing. It didn't come down until it had passed the back wall of the bullpen and then over another wall beyond the picnic area, crashing down on the walkway outside the stadium, 445 feet from home plate.
