Perry Fewell is getting to know, at least on tape, players he will be coaching this fall, members of a Giants defense that stopped few opponents during the 2009 season. He isn't certain yet just how he will devise his scheme, or even from where he will be implementing it on game days.

"I get pretty excited on the sideline and I'm probably a little more controlled when I call it from the press box," the team's new defensive coordinator said Thursday of his time as a coordinator and interim head coach in Buffalo. "When I call it from the sideline you get caught up in the ballgame and chest-bump a player or slap somebody on the hind-end and then you have to go back and get by yourself and gather your thoughts again.
