The Queens District Attorney's Office says a Clifton man accused of running onto the field at a Mets game can take his 15 minutes of fame - but it will cost him 30 days in jail, three years' probation, and $2,000 in fines if he accepts the plea deal offered Tuesday.
John McCarthy, 38, says he didn't run onto the field at Shea Stadium on May 4 and hold up a sign for shock jock Howard Stern.
