WOE UNTO Bryan Christiansen. He was the unlucky executive director of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners when Chris Christie became governor of the great State of New Jersey. Christiansen probably thought he could roll in clover at the top of the sewerage chain until a ripe old age. But Christie saw Christiansen's $313,000 annual salary and flushed.
Christiansen was vilified, held up as the poster boy for generous public contracts. When he resigned (albeit on the public nickel), Christie had this to say: "My reaction is I'm glad that he understands that these are different times and that the public is not going to stand for -- nor is this governor and lieutenant governor going to stand for -- those types of salaries in the public sector."See the full content of this document
