ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS -- A Republican councilman who quit earlier this month and then attempted to withdraw his resignation said he would not try to regain his post or take legal action against the borough.

Martin Asatrian, who resigned Nov. 11, a year into his first term, said Tuesday that he had "no hard feelings" and was happy that the council chose his childhood friend, Carlo Bartolomeo, as a replacement.
