ELMWOOD PARK - After a dozen years of fighting to get sound barriers built along Route 80, Mayor Richard Mola may finally get his wish.

"I guess [state officials] finally got tired of hearing my voice," he said jokingly Tuesday. "I've been trying to get these sound barriers for the past 12 years, and I've called constantly."
