EAST RUTHERFORD - Just 8:15 remained in the game Saturday when Tiki Barber drove off right tackle for the touchdown that gave the Giants a four-point lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's right, the Giants, losers of six straight, were in position to upset the Steelers, winners of 11 in a row.

Yet there are reasons for the two streaks, and they surfaced in those final minutes. Pittsburgh's offense picked up the defense with a 67-yard scoring drive to lift the Steelers to a 33-30 win at a Giants Stadium, which might well have been Heinz Field considering all those Steelers fans waving "Terrible Towels."
