WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP -Immaculate Heart Academy's perfect girls basketball season reached an imperfect conclusion Friday afternoon.

The undefeated Blue Eagles, ranked No. 1 in The Record's Top 25, were eliminated from the North Non-Public A girls basketball tournament and forced to forfeit 22 of their 24 victories because they used an ineligible player. The decision was made by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association following an investigation, spurred by an anonymous tip Thursday afternoon.
