New Jersey drivers would save about $52 a year under a bill in the state Legislature that would roll back part of a toll hike scheduled for both the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway in 2012.

But the legislation, sponsored by Democrats, has a slim chance of becoming law, largely because Governor Christie, who needs the toll revenue to fix the state fund that pays for road and bridge improvements throughout New Jersey, opposes it.
