PATERSON -- Second Ward Councilman Aslon Goow Sr., who heads the City Council's Public Safety Committee, has called for the termination or resignation of Paterson Police Chief James Wittig, saying the department lacks strong leadership and oversight at the top.
Goow, who called for the removal of Wittig at Tuesday's City Council meeting, had numerous reasons for ousting the chief, but he said on Wednesday that the discovery in an alley last week of 2,200 rounds of ammunition that belonged to the department was the tipping point.See the full content of this document
