New Jersey should be reimbursed immediately by the federal government for the millions of dollars it has spent on prescription drugs for low-income elderly and disabled people who have faced problems with Medicare's new prescription benefit, Governor Corzine said Friday.

Corzine called upon the federal government to provide "complete reimbursement to the state for these expenditures," which have exceeded $20 million so far.
