Summary


Lost in all the attention given to Governor Corzine's budget cuts is his proposal to spend $1.2 billion more on everything from public schools to sex-offender monitoring, employee pensions and tax relief for seniors.

Corzine has proposed a $33.3 billion state budget that cuts about $200 million in actual spending from the current fiscal year. He wants to trim property tax rebates, municipal aid and several other major grant programs.
