NEW YORK - The same old Mets finally brought out the old Terry Collins. Before the seventh inning transpired Wednesday night, Citi Field seemed poised for an eventual celebration for the home team, not a postgame eruption from its fiery manager who until now had managed to keep the volatility that preceded him to Queens in check.

A fateful seventh changed all that, and Pirates speedster Andrew McCutchen started it all by beating out an infield single.
