Clifton Gets Grant to Plant, Care for Trees

CLIFTON -- The state has awarded the city a $25,000 grant to promote the planting and care of trees.

State Department of Environmental Protection staff notified the city Wednesday of the money from the Community Forestry Incentive Program to pay for projects including native tree plantings, booklets for residents on tree care and sustainability and a local inventory of trees, said Al Du Bois, Clifton's recycling coordinator.
