Christie to Appeal Power Plant Ruling

Summary


Governor Christie said Monday he will appeal a federal court's decision to throw out the state's bid to force a Pennsylvania power plant to install technology that would reduce pollutants that blow into New Jersey.

But Christie also said he won't join other eastern states fighting in court to uphold a federal cross-state air pollution rule that would more uniformly cut down on emissions from power plants like the one he sued in Pennsylvania.
