ATLANTIC CITY A nearly six-hour standoff at the Showboat Casino- Hotel that began when a masked man who claimed he had a bomb held police at bay from a shuttle bus cost the casino an estimated $150,000, the company said.

Jay Snowden, senior vice president and general manager of the Showboat, said that figure includes between $100,000 to $125,000 in lost gambling revenue, and an additional $25,000 worth of food and beverage business.
