PATERSON -- A young father, who had just celebrated his birthday Wednesday night, and his good friend were killed early Thursday morning after their car struck a utility pole on the side of Route 20.
Matthew J. Hernandez, 22, of East 32nd Street, was driving, and Joel Dilone, 22, of Madison Avenue was a passenger in the car, said Lt. Richard Reyes, a city police spokesman. The crash occurred just before 3:25 a.m. on the highway north of Route 80, and the two men were pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 4 a.m.See the full content of this document
