The top lobbyist for the state's cable industry is stepping down next month.
The departure of Karen Alexander, president of the New Jersey Cable & Telecommunications Association, comes as the cable industry faces the likely entry of rival Verizon into the TV market in New Jersey. State lawmakers recently voted to approve a measure fiercely opposed by cable companies that would allow Verizon and other phone companies to bypass the lengthy town-by-town negotiating process in place for more than 30 years.See the full content of this document
