RALEIGH, N.C. -- A hot shower cooled off Martin Brodeur a little, but the Devils' goaltender still was steaming over the officiating when he emerged to address the media in the visiting locker room Tuesday night at RBC Center.
The play that upset Brodeur -- and caused him to call referees Eric Furlatt and Wes McCauley, "pretty awful" -- was the one that led to Jussi Jokinen's winning goal with just 0.2 seconds remaining, not the deflection itself, which gave the Carolina Hurricanes a series-evening 4-3 victory in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.See the full content of this document
