ENGLEWOOD - Schools Superintendent John Grieco said he is willing to discuss trimming parts of a narrowly defeated bond proposal if it is sent back to voters.

But he remains hopeful that a recount will flip the verdict in favor of his proposal to improve aged school buildings and make room for swelling enrollment. Grieco canceled a Thursday meeting in which the school board could have voted to put the proposal back on the ballot in March while it awaits the results of the recount.
