Megan Ryan scored off an assist from Jenna Todero with 1:52 left in overtime to earn top-seeded Mountain Lakes (17-4) a hard-fought 2- 1 victory over Boonton in the North 1, Group 1 field hockey championship game Monday. The Lakers will play Shore Regional of West Long Branch in the Group 1 state semifinal on Thursday. Shore stunned Union County and state power Oak Knoll of Summit, 2-1, in the North 2, Group 1 title match.
