Summary
Right fielder Carlos Beltran left the game after the sixth inning because of what he termed "tightness" in his left hamstring, which he apparently tweaked while running the bases during the second inning. Beltran said he told trainer Ray Ramirez about it, and Ramirez relayed the information to manager Terry Collins, who removed Beltran with the Mets ahead 9-1. Jason Pridie took over and threw out Jimmy Rollins, who was trying to stretch a single, ending the top of the eighth.
"It's not a big deal," Beltran said. "I could have finished the game without a problem. It was Terry's decision."See the full content of this document
