HACKENSACK The City Council in recent weeks authorized the hiring of Dennis J. Oury, a politically connected lawyer whose work has been the subject of federal subpoenas, to provide advice on redevelopment issues for $17,500 a year.
The council approved the action at a meeting on May 20, several days before U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Christie subpoenaed records related to Oury and a consulting firm he co-owns from more than a dozen towns, boards and officials. Christie's office has not commented on the nature of the investigation.See the full content of this document
