WAYNE -- The NBIL championship swim meet proved that records can be fleeting, but Northern Highlands senior Matt Alfonso showed a hairstyle can last forever.

Sporting his trademark crew cut, and not wearing a cap, Alfonso helped Northern Highlands to the overall NBIL boys team title, winning both the 50 and 100 freestyles, while anchoring two winning relay teams, as an unprecedented 14 meet records were set Sunday at Passaic Tech.
