When the Borgata opened one year ago, it was apparent that the casino-hotel-spa wasn't quite ready for prime time.

A number of items on the menus of its 11 restaurants weren't ready. On opening weekend, the wait for the valet to retrieve a car exceeded 40 minutes. Much of the health club wasn't finished. It was obvious the Borgata was eager to be up and running in time for Fourth of July weekend.
