A New Jersey couple charged with forcing their 13-year-old foster daughter to bring meals to an upstairs bedroom in their house - where the rotting corpse of her 82-year-old grandfather lay - had no idea the man was dead, lawyers for the couple insisted Wednesday.
"They're not lunatics," said lawyer Thomas S. Plaia, who represents Clark resident Donna Keaveney, who along with her husband Kenneth, has been charged by Union County authorities with child cruelty and elder neglect.See the full content of this document
