John Abraham has decided not to sign his one-year tender offer with the Jets worth $6.67 million. Instead, the pass-rushing defensive end will see if there is anything available for him on the not-so-open market that franchise players face.

"We're going to see what's out there," said Abraham's agent, Tony Agnone, who said he submitted an offer to the Jets late last week that the team told him it would not accept. The deadline for signing the tender is 4 p.m. today, after which the Jets will not be able to negotiate with Abraham until July 15.
